Keith West

Keith presents here a condensed version of the document he was commissioned to write by the Tate Gallery Archive, but in a less academic form to appeal to a wider audience. In three parts, the book covers Keith's experience as an art student at Coventry College of Art, and of the late College art historian and renowned art critic, Barbara Reise, who had an enormous influence on international art criticism. The third part raised eyebrows in the art world, being an analysis of the impact of the thinking in art education at Coventry and elsewhere on the evolution of particularly British art and establishment.
