Coventry's changing city boundary

Amanda Slater has taken a wonderful set of photographs, which show many of the decorative boundary marker posts that were placed around the city when it was extended in 1928 and 1932. Please take a look at them on the Flickr website.

The original city wall is shown in brown in the centre of the map to put into perspective the comparative growth of Coventry since the middle ages.

Please note: The roads shown in blue and railways in black were not necessarily all in existence during each of the years shown but I have included them as reference points for clarity.
